About Arizona Hemp Industries Association
The AZHIA is a member-driven chapter in the State of Arizona of the Hemp Industries Association (HIA).
AZHIA represents the interests of the hemp industry and encourages research and development of new products made from industrial hemp. It seeks to educate the public about the exceptional attributes of industrial hemp and facilitates the exchange of information among growers, researchers, processors, manufacturers, distributors and retailers of industrial hemp plants and products. The HIA aims to maintain and defend the integrity of industrial hemp products and advocates and supports socially responsible and environmentally sound business practices.
The mission of the AZHIA State Chapter is to advance the hemp economy, build alliances with Arizona businesses, municipalities, other trade organizations. AZHIA will strive to educate our members, the Arizona community and the country on hemp, hemp products and hemp uses including industrial, health and wellness, nutritional, scientific and sustainable/conservative purposes.
What we strive for:
Educate the public about the exceptional attributes of hemp products.
Facilitate the exchange of information and technology between hemp agriculturists, processors, manufacturers, distributors and retailers.
Maintain and defend the integrity of hemp products.
Advocate and support socially responsible and environmentally sound business practices.
Members of the AZHIA support ethical business practices, including accuracy in labeling, use of environmentally friendly technologies, sustainable and organic agriculture, high quality products and concern for human rights. It is the intention of the AZHIA to take all necessary steps to assure consumer confidence in hemp products. An AZHIA Member company agrees to the Association’s standards. Display of the AZHIA Membership insignia in business promotion and advertising is a mark of prestige.
